Hapkido is dynamic, ancient Korean martial art utilizing your body as a weapon. It employs joint locks grappling techniquesas as well as kicks and punches.  There is also use of weapons including knife, sword, cane, short stick (dan bong), middle -length staff (joong bong) and bong (about 6′ long staff). Hapkido emphasizes circular motion, redirection of forces,pressure points. Hapkido incorporates the use of leverage, avoiding the use of strength against strength. All  techniques should follow the three principles of Hapkido moves: 1. Nonresistance  2. Circle principle.  3. Flexible principle (The water).
